Alabama State Parks With RV Full Hook Ups

This is the first of a series of blog posts.  Taking one state at a month, in alphabetical order, I will make a list of that state parks that have full hook ups for RVs.  I consider a full hook up as water, electric and sewer.  

Alabama State Parks with RV Full Hook Ups:

14 of Alabama's State Parks have full rv hook up sites.  Those parks are:

Bucks Pocket State Park - 13 Full hook up sites, 4 of which are pull through sites.  Located in Grove Oak, Alabama

DeSoto State Park - 94 Full hook up sites.  Located in Ft Payne, Alabama

Joe Wheeler State Park - 100 Full hook up sites. Located in Rogersville, Alabama

Lake Lurleen State Park - 29 Full hook up sites.  Located in Coker, Alabama

Oak Mountain State Park - 57 Full hook up sites.  Located in Pelham, Alabama

Wind Creek State Park - 39 Full hook up sites.  Located in Alexander City, Alabama

Blue Springs State Park - 7 Full hook up sites.  Located in Cleo, Alabama

Chewacla State Park - 36 Full hook up sites.  Located in Aubrun,  Alabama

Frank Jackson State Park - 32 Full hook up sites.  Located in Opp, Alabama

Lakepoint State Park - The Deer Court campground has full hook up sites, but I could not determine the number of sites

Paul Grist State Park - 11 Full hook up sites. Located in Selma, Alabama

Roland Cooper State Park - Has full hook up sites, but I was not able to determine the number of sites

Gulf State Park - 496 Full hook up sites.  Located in Gulf Shores, Alabama

Meaher State Park - 61 Full hook up sites.  Located in Spanish Fort, Alabama.

Alabama State Parks Fun Facts:

Alabama's largest state park is Oak Mountain State park which is 9940 acres. The oldest is Cheaha State Park established in 1933

Alabama has 22 state parks, 4 state wildlife management areas, 4 National forests, 2 National Historic Sites, 2 National Monuments and 10 National wildlife refuges.
